Baby Jack's First Evac!

As Mr. Gustav barrels towards Louisiana's coast, Jackson turns one week old and embarks on his first evacuation from New Orleans. Though this is supposed to be a very dangerous storm, it is weakening and fast-moving. I have high hopes and I will certainly enjoy being able to spend some time with my newest best friend!

Jack, Jon, Keke, and Moxie will be with my dad and me in Covington. We have a giant generator, food, a safe house, water, and a window unit A/C! We're set.

Keep the Coast in your prayers and thoughts. We're hoping for the best.

See you after the storm with pictures!

Some cuddly little bunny.

Jackson is at home with Keke, Jon, and his Gigi (Jon's mom). He's adjusting well and occupying most of his time with cuddling and eating. Yesterday, he met his "Aunt" Rachel and he loves her! Here are some cuddle shots with Keke, my mom, Emily, and me.

Jackson James Bethune

Our gorgeous, perfect, 9 lbs. 5 oz., 20.25 in. Jackson James is here! Mommy and baby are doing perfectly! As soon as he came out, he nursed for an hour!

Action Jackson!

Jackson has arrived! Photos will be available in about an hour. He's bonding with mommy and daddy right now. He is absolutely HUGE and HEALTHY! He hasn't been officially weighed yet, but the doctors and nurses estimate him at over 9 pounds!

It's time!

We've just left for the waiting room. Jackson is ready to make his grand entrance!

Au Contrare.

No Jackson yet. The doctor says he'll be here within the hour. He likes to keep us on our toes.

A look back...

In case you don't remember (How could you forget?)... here's some pictures of baby Jack as a fetus via ultrasound...

Still waiting...

Mom and Emily are in from Lafayette and with us in the Labor and Delivery room. No Jackson yet, but we're ready!

Getting ready!

Jackson, Christyn, Jon, and I are in the labor/delivery room at Touro Infirmiry waiting for Mr. Jackson James' birth. My mom is on her way from Lafayette with Emily and she'll be here any minute. The nurse said that he will be here within 3 hours! Pictures and updates to follow!
